Course in Oil Spill Response Management (IMO 2 Equivalent) - Blended

Target Audience:
Learning Outcomes:
- The course offers practical and theoretical opportunities to develop skills and knowledge in the following:
- Fundamentals of oil spill response,
- Roles and responsibilities of Incident Management Team Functions - (Planning, Operations, Logistics, Finance & Administration),
- Working within a multi-agency, cross-jurisdictional oil spill team,
- Development and implementation of incident action plans, and
- Utilise Oil Pollution Emergency Plans to identify, analyse and evaluate information to select, locate and coordinate oil spill response strategies, equipment and other resources.
Learning Methods:
- eLearning (~8hrs) prior to attending the face-to-face component
- Classroom at an AMOSC venue (1 day face-to-face)
- Scenario Simulations at an AMOSC venue (1 day face-to-face)

- To train and qualify personnel for employment in an Oil Spill Incident Control Centre (ICC).
